This policy explains what personal information Bay Road Electrical Ltd collects through this website, why, and what happens to it. Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies to how we handle personal information.

Personal information is information that can identify you. On this site, that means the details you type into our quote request form, plus limited technical information our web host may record automatically (see 3.2).
3. What information do we collect?
3.1 Information you give us
When you send a quote request, the form asks for:
- your name;
- your phone number;
- your email address, if you choose to give it;
- the job address;
- your description of the job.
Your name, phone number, job address and job description are required to send the form. If you’d rather not use the form, you can call us at 902-719-8111.
3.2 Information collected automatically
This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our web host may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to run the site and keep it secure.
4. How do we use your information?
We use the details in your quote request to respond to your request, price the job, and carry out the work you ask for.
5. Cookies
This site doesn’t set cookies for visitors. The only cookies are the ones WordPress uses when our site administrators log in.
6. Who do we share your information with?
To run the website and receive your request, your information passes through companies that help us run the site:

We may share details of your request with suppliers or subcontractors when that’s needed to price or carry out the work you asked for.

8. Your privacy rights
Under PIPEDA, you can ask us:
- what personal information we hold about you;
- to correct it if it’s wrong.
You can also withdraw your consent, for example by telling us to stop contacting you about a quote.
To ask a question, make a request or raise a concern about privacy, contact us using the details in section 12. PIPEDA generally requires a response to an access request within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
9. Security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Our website host stores form entries on its servers. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, PIPEDA requires the business to tell you and the Privacy Commissioner.
10. Where your information is stored
Your form entry is stored by our website host. The email copy of your request is stored by Namecheap Private Email, on servers in the United States. While your information is in another country, the courts, law enforcement and other government agencies of that country may be able to access it. Under PIPEDA, we remain responsible for personal information we transfer to these companies.
